Red Wing Oxblood Series

  1. I think this is a very handsome shoe (and boot).

    But, I don't understand why they use a white, high-contrast stitch. Why not make all of the stitching dark like it is at the top of the shoe and vertically along the lace holes.

    The white will eventually not be white due to wear, polishing, etc. So, why start out with it that way.

    This is a sincere question. If there is a reason for the white, I hope the author of the blog or one of his readers will "clue me in."

    It's a good question and worth getting an answer to. My suspicion is that it's purely aesthetic. I'll dig around and see if I can find anything out in regard to this design decision. Thanks for stopping by!
